I dreamed of skydiving my whole life until I got the chance to try static line parachuting in 1998. I got my statice line certificate from the aerial sports organization, Azadi Sports Complex, Tehran. Most of our instructors were from Tip-e-65, Niroohay Havabord( Airborne troops). I made seven static line jumps in Mard-abad Drop zone, Karaj. All my jumps were From a helicopter. The parachutes we used were standard military parachutes.

I got my AFF Certificate from Byron, California in 25 of Aug, 2001. I did one tandem and nine AFF jumps. Two of my jumps were from Cessna(11000 ft) and the rest from King Air(14000 ft). I did four jumps on my graduation day, my worst jump was also on that day, which was my  level six jump. I did an unstable solo poised exit and therefore I couldn't get stable easily.... The first three AFF jumps were done with two jumpmasters. From the fourth jump I jumped with one jump master. Also in that jump the jump master let go of me for several seconds and then docked for the pull time.. Sixth jump was a solo poised exit and seventh was solo diving exit. In last level there was a relative exit with basic RW( Relative Work).

While climbing Denali with Arash in June 2002, we talked about almost every single topic in this world, and when it happened to be about skydiving, Arash told he will soon try that stuff. Arash is a man of his words. Here is Arash's first level AFF. (He didn't take a Tandem). Look how cool he is..... (.avi)
